The Bachelor of Science in Community Development programme is designed to prepare students to respond to the current needs and challenges in both rural and urban communities. It is also meant to support efforts in building the capacity of local institutions to sustainably manage the
environment and natural resources.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
Bachelors of Science in Community Development programme is divided into four parts:
coursework; comprehensive final examinations; a research project at the end of the final year of
the program; and an Internship. Each student shall take a minimum of six (6) courses per semester
in year one and (five) 5 courses thereafter except in year three (3) where they shall have six (6)
courses in semester one.
