The study of Marketing has origins in the process of exchange in which value is given and received in a market setting. It is concerned with trying to understand how customers and consumers behave; how markets function and evolve; how firms relate to these markets, as well
as identifying the contributions of Marketing to organizational performance and societal welfare. Marketing is a critical management activity in most organizations and is becoming even more important with the heightening of competition at all levels – local, national and international. The Marketing programme provides a solid grounding in the main marketing management disciplines.
In addition to core management courses students will take specialized modules in key areas such as market research, digital marketing, consumer behavior, strategic aspects of marketing, segmentation, positioning, buying behavior by organizations, and e-commerce. Also, our strong links with local businesses provide opportunities to network and develop the employability skills that make our graduates stand out.
